Man shot and killed in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood


A man was shot and killed Saturday night in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood, authorities said.

San Francisco police received a report of a shooting at 11:45 p.m. on the 500 block of Naples Street, said Officer Robert Rueca, an SFPD spokesperson. First responders found an adult male inside a building suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, Rueca said. The medical examiner’s office has not identified the victim.

Police did not identify a suspect.

“At this time, it’s all pending investigation,” Rueca said.
